Jacqueline Woods joined Academic Search as a senior consultant in 2012. She has assisted multiple search committees on conducting both public and private sector cabinet level searches (deans to presidents) for community colleges, four year public colleges and universities and for higher education associations.
She is a senior education and public policy leader and has served as a consultant to several educational organizations and the College Board.
Prior to her full time consulting activities, she served as the Executive Director for the American Association for University Women and the Director of the Community College Liaison Office for the US Department of Education during the 2nd Clinton Administration.
Early in her career, she held senior cabinet level positions with several colleges and national education associations.
She has had extensive governing, volunteer, and advisory board service. She is currently on the Advisory Board of Arizona State University, West Campus- New College of Interdisciplinary Arts and Sciences. She is also a member of the National Board of Volunteers of America, Inc. She served for 8 years on the Board of Trustees for the American University of Rome, Italy as well as DeVry University’s Board of Trustees. For several years, she served as an Executive Advisory Board Member for the Women’s Policy Journal of Harvard University’s JFK School of Government.
She earned her degrees from Michigan State University and Wayne State University.
