UVU Appoints Dean | Academic Search

Utah Valley University has named Dr. Steven Clark as the new Dean for the College of Humanities and Social Sciences. Dr. Clark joined UVU in 2000 and has held a number of leadership roles in the past 17 years; he most recently has served as the interim dean of the College of Humanities and Social Sciences.

University of Alaska Anchorage has appointed Dr. Karen Markel as the new dean of the College of Business and Public Policy. She will join CBPP this coming June, and is currently a faculty member at Oakland University’s School of Business Administration located in Rochester, Michigan.

Western Washington University Appoints Donna Gibbs

Western Washington University has appointed Donna Gibbs as Vice President for University Relations and Marketing. Ms. Gibbs has been vice president for Marketing and Communications at Pacific Lutheran University (PLU) since 2013. Ms. Gibbs started at Western on August 28, 2017.
University of the Pacific Appoints Dean

Dr. Thomas Naehr has been appointed Dean of the Graduate School at the University of the Pacific. Dr. Naehr has served at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi as the Associate Dean of Graduate Studies since 2013. Dr. Haehr will begin his appointment on July 7, 2017.
